Our dedicated members volunteer their time on various NWHA committees each year. Committees support our mission and assist with the continual growth of the organization. Sign up and become involved with the NWHA, join a committee and start making a difference.
The mission of the fundraising committee is to solicit and obtain sponsors, grants, and other fundraising sources to benefit the overall mission of NWHA.
Chairperson: TBA
Track and tally points of NWHA members via NWHA affiliated events. Process and select via vote the Phoenix and Pegasus NWHA award recipients each year. Responsible for planning the year end awards banquet in conjunction with the Judge’s Clinic and Annual Meeting.

Update and continue education of NWHA judges. Recruit, retain and develop qualified Judges, as well as administer the annual judge’s clinic for licensing/carding judges.judge program.

Plans and executes all facets of the National Horse Show. From venue selection, the show bill to the closing ceremonies. This is one of the busiest committees of the NWHA each year.

Rules committee reviews recommendations for changes to NWHA's show rules that are made by members, exhibitors or show officials. Proposed rule changes need to be considered very carefully and impartially with due consideration given to the total effect of any change, as rule changes can affect the shows, the exhibitors and classes offered, as well as other outside issues such as high point eligibility. Committee will revise and submit the rule book changes prior to Jan 1 each year for the next calendar year.

The mission of the Trail Committee is the promotion of the naturally gaited TWH and what it has to offer the casual or serious trail rider via recreational and competitive trail events. Promoting NWHA out of the show arena, through its mission of sound horses at trail events, trail rides, clinics and other trail sanctioned events. Education of safe trail riding and trail rider horsemanship is emphasized. Responsible for the CHIP and TRIP programs and their affiliated year end awards.

The mission of the versatility committee is to facilitate, educate, enhance, showcase and provide information in all aspects of the versatile abilities of the Tennessee Walking horse for our members. Modify and clarify versatility event rules as needed/requested. Encourage and promote the versatility of the gaited horse through non-rail events. Responsible for maintenance and execution of LSAP and HOY programs, as well as submitting any rule changes each year for updating the Versatility rule book

The Dressage committee aims to facilitate, educate, and provide information in all aspects of Dressage, both traditional and Western sectors. Said committee will modify and clarify Dressage rules as needed/requested, in addition to maintaining up to date Dressage tests and programs for the gaited horse. Execution of the annual Horse of the Year program rests with this committee.

Provide and promote youth programs that encourage participation in the NWHA. Youth of the Year award, scholarships and youth events are supported.
