Enjoying bridle paths throughout the country and abroad, NWHA supports charitable and humanitarian efforts while promoting equestrian trail activities. Earn program awards for riding your horse out on the trails or competing in trail challenge events. For 2024: Program mileage accumulation 12/1 - 11/30

Trail Riders Award Program
Would you rather spend a day on the trails? Then TRAP may be for you! TRAP is open to all NWHA members and any gaited horse owned by a member of NWHA. Riders and horses accrue miles on the trails and have the opportunity to earn year end awards for enjoying their horse and the great outdoors.
TRAP annual award categories:
High Mile Adult Rider
High Mile Youth Rider
High Mile Horse
Members are presented at designated mile levels and will accumulate each year. Members will receive prizes at the following milestones:
Initial 50 miles
150 miles
500 miles
1000 miles
2000 miles
Every additional 1000 miles thereafter
TRAP participants must be a member no later than March 1st to count their miles from December 1st (Log Start Date). Members joining after March 1st will only be able to accumulate miles from the date of their membership purchase. Milestone awards will be sent out by the committee chair or designated committee member at the end of the year.
