The objective of the NWHA Youth, aligned with the organization’s mission, is the continuance of supporting and improving the lives of horses and people by encouraging responsibility and sportsmanship.
Many of our sanctioned events have specific classes and divisions just for our youth riders. Whether it is 11 & Under or 17 & Under classes, there is something for every age. We encourage our youth riders to compete in the show ring as their efforts will be well rewarded. Many of our year end high point categories are specific to our youth competitors.
Youth Members are encouraged to join the Lifetime Superior Achievement Program. This NWHA versatility program supports all types of events that youth exhibitors enjoy competing in. From 4-H, Open shows, NWHA Sanctioned events and school equestrian teams - make all of those events count for our young versatility riders.
